Riccardo Viaggi
Since May 2017, Riccardo Viaggi is Secretary General of CECE, the Committee for European Construction Equipment. In his role he leads the Brussels office of the trade association, which represents and defends the interests of European construction and mining equipment companies towards the European Union.
Before joining CECE, Riccardo was Secretary General of European Builders Confederation for 8 years, during which he gained useful insights into the needs and challenges of construction contractors in Europe.
He earned his master’s degree in international relations and diplomacy from the University of Bologna, after completing parts of his studies in Switzerland, France and the United States. In addition to his native Italian, Riccardo speaks fluently English, French and Spanish.
Domenico Campogrande
Domenico was born in Italy and lives in Brussels. Holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Louvain-La-Neuve (Belgium) and attended the University of Bologna (Italy) in the framework of the Erasmus programme.
He started his career in the IT sector and joined FIEC (European Construction Industry Federation) in 1994, where until 2007 he was responsible for Economic and Legal matters dealing with issues such as statistics, public procurement, fiscal matters, development and financing of infrastructure, etc.
From 2007 until 2019 he has been the Director for Social Affairs covering 3 main areas of activities: education and training, occupational health and safety, employment and labour law issues. These topics, together with various other specific initiatives/projects, are also addressed in the EU Social Dialogue committee for the construction industry in which FIEC represents the employers.
Since July 2019 he is the Director General of FIEC.
