Prof. Dr.-Ing. Elisabeth Clausen has been Chair of "Advanced Mining Technologies" at RWTH Aachen University since March 2018 and leads the corresponding institute at the Faculty of Georesources and Materials Engineering. A mining engineer by training, she focuses on developing innovative solutions for the automation, digitalization, and electrification of mining technologies. Her research spans the entire data-information-value chain, from robust sensor systems to AI-based data analysis. She is also President of the Society of Mining Professors and has been recognized for her commitment to modern, innovation-driven mining education.
